Easter Tea
We would like to invite you to our Easter Tea at St Andrews Church on Friday 31st March at 1.00pm more information to follow.

Book Club
We had our first book club meeting for families last night and lots of great ideas and discussions were shared about our book 'My Happy Mind'. We would all recommend it to anyone who is interested in having a read. Next half term we are reading 'The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read (and Your Children Will be Glad That You Did)' please see Mrs Pawson (gpawson@kirkbymalzeard.n-yorks.sch.uk) if you would like to join our book club and read along with us.

Book Competition
We have been lucky to win some books for our school and class library, in exchange we need to read the books and return 10 book reviews for each book, over the next few weeks’ children might choose to bring one of these books home as their reading for pleasure book, please help and encourage them to read the book and chat about it at home. We will email families to let you know if your child has one of these books.

Reading and Phonics drop-in
Thank you to everyone who came along. Mrs Pawson will be holding another drop in next term. If you have any questions in the meantime, please let her know as we are compiling a 'frequently asked questions' information leaflet. Mrs Pawson and everyone in school is always happy to talk about reading and we love to recommend a book so please feel free to ask questions at any time!

Word of the week
Our whole school 'Word of the Week' will be shared on Twitter every Friday, then we can chat and think about the word over the weekend. We could ask family and friends how they would use the word; we could investigate the word's etymology and we could look out for people using the word in books, speech, films. The following week in school we will continue to focus and think about our word; we have word of the week stickers, a chalk board for our word and if we are spotted using our word in speech or in writing we get a DoJo for our team!

Photos - Whole school
Please can we have some photos of your child 'living life in all its fullness', one from when they were younger and a current photo. This could be anything from going on a holiday, taking part in a fun run, reading a book in a tree house, learning to ride a bike. Please can these be in school for the first week back. If you have any questions, please see Mrs Pawson.

Please see attched Bunny Bingo information and Tennis Coaching information.
