New this week…
Theatre Visits
We have theatre visits planned for all children in school at Leeds Playhouse. We will be taking younger children to see Stickman (this will take place during the school day on 12th December) and KS2 children will be going to see a Christmas Carol (this will be an evening performance on the evening of 7th January 2026). More details will follow after half term, but we thought you would like to know in advnce in case you are booking things as a family.
KS2 Clubs for the new term
Just a reminder to those parents who have signed up to Guitar Cub on Mondays, Netball club on Wednesdays and Sewing club on Thursdays all start the first week back after half term.
Parent Pay
Thank you to all those parents who have already settled their accounts, however please could we ask that any outstanding payments are settled as soon as possible.
A reminder that school meals and whizz Kids sessions should be settled by the end of October.

Children in Need Friday 14th November
There is a change of date on the website for Children in Need this year to 14
th November 2025, further details of events will be provided closer to the time.
Forest School Friday
To support our Golden Threads, Helen will be running a morning forest school session for each class on a Friday morning. Dates are as follows:
Friday 21
st November 2025 - Acorn
Friday 28
th November 2025 - Oak
Friday 5
th December 2025 - Palm
Friday 12
th December 2025 - Cedar
Children should come in comfy, warm clothes suitable for forest school. They will need long trousers, water proofs and wellies. Please send uniform in a bag for the afternoon session.
Class Collective Worship
Each week one of our Collective Worship sessions takes place in class with a focus on something in the news. Attached is a take home that you might like to think about and share with your child at home, there is no need to return this to school. There is a new sheet each week.

Reminders…
Threadworms
It has been reported to us that there are cases of Threadworms in school. Some of the symptoms might not necessarily be as obvious as you think, please have a read of the link below and follow any advice needed.
We really appreciate it when families let us know if they are experiencing conditions such as Threadworms as this means we can take precautionary measures in school, for example throwing away any old playdough or sand. Please continue to advise us, thank you.

Headlice- NITS
We have a significant outbreak of headlice in school, please can we ask everyone to check hair throughout families and treat all cases over the weekend. A reminder that a follow up treatment is needed a week later to ensure all eggs and lice are treated. A nit comb is also advisable to remove dead eggs and lice from hair after treatment.

Waterproof coats
We have been caught out by showers a few times this week, we like to spend as much time outside as possible, children do need to have a waterproof coat with them every day.
