New this week…
Parents Consultations – Monday 20th October
Just a reminder to book your parent consultations if you haven’t already and we look forward to seeing you on the day.
Intra Tag Rugby
We are welcoming Sporting Influence into school on Monday to run Tag Rugby Skills and Games with all of the children in school. Please can children come to school in full PE kit, children will need a sweatshirt, rather than a hoody and please ensure that children have a pair of trainers in school. Can children in Oak, Palm and Cedar bring uniform in a bag ready to change into, please ensure everything is named.
KS2 Clubs for the new term
Emails have previously been sent out for Guitar club and Netball club, thank you to those parents who have already responded, the link is still open if parents would like their child to attend, or email admin if you are unable to locate the email.
A further email was sent to KS2 parents today for Sewing club to be held on Thursdays, please respond to the email if you would like your child to attend.
Forest School Wednesday – Oak class
This half term
Oak will have their forest school sessions
EVERY Wednesday. Children need to bring with them appropriate clothing and footwear to be outside all afternoon. They will need long trousers, water proofs and wellies. Please make sure that these items are named.
Reminders…
Threadworms
It has been reported to us that there are cases of Threadworms in school. Some of the symptoms might not necessarily be as obvious as you think, please have a read of the link below and follow any advice needed.
We really appreciate it when families let us know if they are experiencing conditions such as Threadworms as this means we can take precautionary measures in school, for example throwing away any old playdough or sand. Please continue to advise us, thank you.

Headlice- NITS
We have a significant outbreak of headlice in school, please can we ask everyone to check hair throughout families and treat all cases over the weekend. A reminder that a follow up treatment is needed a week later to ensure all eggs and lice are treated. A nit comb is also advisable to remove dead eggs and lice from hair after treatment.

Waterproof coats
We have been caught out by showers a few times this week, we like to spend as much time outside as possible, children do need to have a waterproof coat with them every day.
Manor Court Parking
Can we ask all parents to
avoid parking in Manor Court at drop off and pick up, this is part of a planning agreement which is in place with our school.

Ripon Library Service Half Term events
Storytime workshop is taking place in November run by the ‘Black British Ballet’ called ‘Onisere and the Ballet Queen’. Onisere wants to be a ballet dancer but there’s just one problem: she’s black and she’s never seen any other ballet dancers who look like her. Enter, the ballet queen, Simbira, who takes Onisere, and her annoying, football mad little brother Tayo, on a fantastical journey through the history of black British ballet.
