Weekly Update Thursday 3rd April 2025
02 Apr 2025
Our Vision
We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness’ and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.
New this week…
Happy Easter
Mrs Taylor would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter and she is looking forward to seeing you all after the holidays.
Mrs Pawson and Miss Oates would also like to thank families who have offered kind words and gestures this term. Their support is very much appreciated. We hope you have a lovely Easter break and are looking forward to seeing you all after the holidays.
End of term
School closes for the term on Friday 4th April at 2pm. We will be sending children home with their wellies and trainers so families can check sizes and so we can have a tidy-up. Please return these on the first day back ensuring they are named. Thank you.
HeliHop
What a fantastic event. Thank you again to all who supported...a final total raised will be coming soon!
Easter Tea
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our Easter Tea yesterday. It was lovely to see the joy from all the children (and teddies!) and we hope you enjoyed spending time with your child in school.
Parent Pay
Just a reminder for those who haven’t settled their parent pay accounts, please do as soon as possible, as we have reached the end of the the financial year
are now coming to the end of this term. If you have any concerns or problems, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Please note, parents with outstanding balances will not be able to order school lunches or book on wrap around care or after school clubs until these are settled.
Netball Club
Netball will not be running next half term, unfortunately there is no coach available. We are hoping it may continue in the second half of the Summer term.
Gardening Club
Gardening club is starting on the first week back to school after Easter (Wednesday 23
rd April) for those who have signed up. There are still two places left for KS2 children, if your child would like to attend please email admin.

Forest School Wednesday
Next half term
Oak class will have their forest school sessions
EVERY Wednesday. Children need to come to school in their PE kits, school shoes, navy joggers, white PE top and navy sweatshirt. This is a comfortable and practical base for us to add layers too. Children will need to bring one waterproof coat, a hat/sunhat, waterproof gloves and if you have them welly socks and waterproof trousers. Children must wear leggings or trousers, not shorts. Please can these come to school in a named bag. All children need a pair of wellies in school, if they don't please can they bring a pair to keep at school; if your child came home in their boots can they be returned in the morning, thank you. Children will come home in their forest school clothes.
Forest School Friday
To support our Golden Thread further, Helen will be running a morning forest school session for each class on a Friday morning based around understanding and embracing the wider world. The dates are on the website and are as follows:
Friday 4
th April – Cedar
Next term
Friday 25
th April – Acorn
Friday 2
nd May – Oak
Friday 9
th May – Palm
Friday 16
th May - Cedar
Children should come in suitable clothes for forest school. They will need long trousers, water proofs and wellies. Please send uniform in a bag for the afternoon session.
Reminders…
Parent help - Postcards
As part of Geography and helping the children understand place and locational knowledge could I ask that if any parents or relatives are visiting places of interest or travelling to other destinations on day trips or on holidays that they pick up a postcard. They can either send to school by post or send the postcard with their child on return to school. We can then, together as a class, find, locate and investigate locations around the world. I am sure they will be eager to learn about who has been where and this will enthuse and encourage them to further their skills in using world maps, atlases and globes.
