Our Vision

We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness’ and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.

New this week…

Theatre Trips

Thank you so much to parents who have supported us in donating so we can take the children to the Theatre in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, we still have a significant shortfall in payments. If you feel you can help, these items are still on parent pay.  We will make a final decision at the end of next week.

Busy end

Parents of children in Year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are invited to a busy end in school next week on Tuesday 12th November at 2.45pm. This will be an opportunity to visit class and for your child to celebrate and share with you some of their learning from this term.
Parent of children in Reception are invited in on this day from 2.00pm - 2.45pm. You will be free to take your child home at 2.45pm.

Parent forum

This will take place before the busy end with a 2.15pm start for those parents who wish to attend. This term we will be looking at the personal development map for children in school and asking for parents feed into this.

Netball Super Cup

Thank you to those parents who signed up for the netball super cup visit in March next year. Payment for tickets and/or transport are now due and these have been loaded to parent pay. We have one parent who signed up for a ticket but did not add their name to the form. If you requested a ticket, but do not have a payment item for this on parent pay, please contact us as this may be your ticket.

Bus arrangements

Please ensure that any bus amendments are communicated via the school office by 12 noon at the latest. Any changes will be confirmed by the office. After this point the office is unmanned and we cannot make any changes to the bus list. If you have not had confirmation of any changes requested, please do not assume these have been seen by staff at school.

Crucial Crew

Our Year 6 will be taking part in Crucial Crew on Friday 15th November, parents of Year 6 will be contacted directly.

Children in Need Friday 15th November
On Friday 15th November, we will be taking part in a Children in Need fundraising day.  Children are invited to come into school in non-school uniform for a suggested donation of £1. There will be a prize for the most spotty and a prize for the most yellow outfits. The theme for this year's children in need is 'Challenge Yourself'. We will be following in the footsteps of the gladiators and setting up an obstacle course at lunchtime. There will be a suggested donation of 50p to play with an unlimited number of attempts.

Class PE days

The days for PE this term for each class are as follows:
Acorn - Wednesday
Oak    - Tuesday
Palm  - Tuesday
Cedar - Monday

Acorn class are to come in their PE kit. Oak, Palm and Cedar classes are to bring a kit with them for those days (they can be brought in earlier in the week and kept on their peg).

Forest School Wednesday

This half term PALM will have their forest school sessions EVERY Wednesday. Children need to bring with them appropriate clothing and footwear to be outside all afternoon. They will need long trousers, water proofs and wellies. Please make sure that these items are named.

Forest School Friday

To support our Golden Thread further, Helen will be running a morning forest school session for each class on a Friday morning based around confident communication. Dates are as follows:

Friday 22nd November - Acorn
Friday 29th November - Oak
Friday 10th January - Cedar
Friday 17th January - Palm

Children should come in comfy, warm clothes suitable for forest school. They will need long trousers, water proofs and wellies. Please send uniform in a bag for the afternoon session.

Clothing Bank - Christmas Donation Appeal
Please see video below that our KS2 school council made to promote dontations towards this appeal. I'm sure you will agree, they are very persuasive!

The Clothing Bank charity are appealing for parents to pick up an extra item of clothing whilst shopping that can be gifted to a child in need this Christmas. New items can be purchased and brought into school for the charity to collect. It would be wonderful if as many of us as possible could support this appeal this Christmas.  Thank you for your support.

Reminders…

Charging Policy
As part of our reviews as a governing body, we have reflected on how charges are made to parents and wanted to provide some clarity around how and when charges are applied to parent pay accounts and the expectations of when payments for these should be made.
We hope this is useful for parents:

School Lunches
These are applied to parent pay accounts on a daily basis so parents can pay these weekly or monthly.
Accounts should be settled in full on the last day of the month in which they were taken.

Wrap Around Care
These are applied to parent pay accounts on a daily basis so parents can pay these weekly or monthly.
Accounts should be settled in full on the last day of the month in which they were taken.
