Weekly Update Thursday 17th July 2024
18 Jul 2024
Our Vision
We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness’ and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.
New this week…
What an end to the term; we have said goodbye to our lovely year six children and I think the children are ready for a rest after a very busy year.
I just want to take this opportunity to thank parents for all your support over the year and to say well done to the children for all their hard work and for the successes they have achieved this year.
I hope you all have a fun filled (and hopefully sunshine filled) summer.
We look forward to welcoming you all back to school Tuesday 3rd September 2024. Just a reminder, there will also be the opportunity to drop in on the Monday 2nd September to see your child’s new classroom ready for the start of term. Please check the school calendar nearer the time for timings for this.
Have a lovely holiday!

Breakfast Club and After School Club will be running from the first day back in September (Tuesday 3rd September). If your child requires a place in the first week back, please contact Mrs Wilcox via email:- twilcox@kirkbymalzeard.n-yorks.sch.uk
Details of all other clubs will be sent out during the first week back. The clubs will then commence the second week back.
School Library Books
Our library system is now back up and running, thank you for your patience whilst we resolved the difficulties. As it is coming up to the summer holidays, we are requesting
all school books to be returned. This helps us manage our collection of books. Please help your child by checking bedrooms, bags and shelves for any school books and return to your class teacher as soon as possible. If you are needing books for over the holiday to enjoy, please take advantage of the wonderful North Yorkshire Council library services - they also have great audiobook options, perfect for long journeys!

Message from Nidderdale Mumbler
Ripon and Nidderdale Mumbler is a local website for parents in the Ripon and Nidderdale area. We provide free information for families about what's on in our local area. With the end of term arriving, our
summer holidays page is full of ideas. There are no signups, it costs absolutely nothing to view or share - it's just a list of local family friendly events and days out. All the activities are based within an hour of Ripon including a good mixture of days out, free things to do, community events, classes and workshops etc, so there is something for everyone.
