Weekly Update

Our Vision
We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’. To have the courage to act with kindness, patience, love and peace in all the communities they serve in.

New this week…

School Reports
Annual school reports will be coming out on Friday 7th July.

Year 6 families – please note reading and mathematics data will follow separately once the data has been published by the DfE. You will still receive the rest of your report on Friday 7th July.

Monday, 10th July - Love Science Workshop.
We have been really lucky in securing Emma for Love Science who is coming into school on Monday to work with the children.  She is going to be doing fun and exciting experiments on germs and making your own blood, which recaps and reinforces our learning from the Humans and Bodies unit done last year.

Water Bottles
Please may we remind you that water bottles should contain water only and not juice or cordial.

Uniform
Please may we remind you that as part of our uniform policy, long hair must be tied back at all times. Hairbands should be simple and plain – novelty hairbands are not appropriate for school.

Message from Friends
Thank you for all your support last week, we still have some curries left if anyone would like to order some. The play was amazing and a lovely atmosphere before the production.

The final fundraiser is the summer raffle; each family will be given £20 raffle tickets, or however many you can sell from your class representative. Then return the stubs and money to your representative before the end of term please. We will make summer hampers as prizes so any donations for them will be gratefully received by either your class representative or the school office.

Thank you so very much for all the support, it has been a busy half term however we have raised a great amount of money to help school buy new books and computers.

Safeguarding, Health and Wellbeing Updates

Sun safety
Finally, we have some sunshine! We are delighted but it is important we keep the children safe during these sunny periods. Please ensure your child has the following on hot sunny days to keep them safe: sun hat/cap, water bottle and suncream applied before arriving at school.  If you wish, you may also provide your child with suncream to top-up at school; this needs to be a named bottle and your child will need to apply it themselves (adults will supervise and support as necessary for each age-group). Please take extra care to ensure your suncream does not contain any nut ingredients or extracts - thank you.
