Open Morning

Mrs Taylor - 02 Apr 2019

Open Morning 17.10.19

The open morning was well attended, with parents being offered the opportunity to see our school at work. The Year 6 did an incredible job of giving guided tours of the school to parents, visiting each class as well as offering parents the opportunity to see our clubs and enrichment activities at work. The children were excited to show off their sewing, cooking and gardening skills. Mrs Pawson was kept busy in the wildlife garden lighting fires and whitling wood whilst our druming group and Pilates club gave a fantastic demonstration of their skills. We were very proud of all the children and their behaviour, we received many compliments from our visitors on our children and their confidence and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to the staff, volunteers and the PTA who have worked incredibly hard to make the morning the success it was.

19.9.19

What an exciting few weeks in school. A huge thank you to Dave from Bikeability, Mrs Pawson and Mrs Cooper for organising and delivering our bikeability training. The children have loved learning to ride bikes with some older children learning to be independent and safe whilst riding on the roads in the village. We can't wait to share our skills with you in Celebration Worship. Listen out for our appearance on Stray FM too!
Thank you to all the parents who came to our 'Welcome back' service. It was lovely to see so many people there and to hear the children speak and sing beautifully. Thanks to everyone who attended the coffee morning afterwards - it was lovely to meet you all properly.
I'd also like to mention the fantastic homework that made its way to my office this week. Well done to Barney and Henry for your amazing WW2 air raid shelters!
