Weekly Update 1st February 2018

Mrs Wolfe - 01 Feb 2018

Cedar class pupils have produced some fantastic topic work this week, incorporating their maths and geography skills to produce some intricate maps of West Tanfield.  Some of our maps will soon be on display in the hall –please do take a look at our work on four-quadrant coordinates.   In English we have written our own Wikipedia pages about the ‘bluchers’ - the strange plants that have been invading our classroom since the beginning of the spring term!  Our grammar focus this week has been the active and passive voice.  We have begun finalising our 500 Words entries – parents and carers will have received information regarding this yesterday, along with this week’s homework.  The 500 Words rules, privacy notice and consent forms have been distributed – we need them back no later than the 9th February, thank you.  We have had great success in this competition over the years, with many Cedar class pupils being shortlisted.  It is a great opportunity to write for a real purpose.  Good luck Cedar Class!
