Weekly Update - 29th March 2018

28 Mar 2018

This week has been very exciting and full of learning adventures! We have finished our fraction learning in Maths by solving fraction problems, finding fractions of numbers and some of us have even investigated decimals. In English we have also finished our learning about 'Room 13'. The children have thoroughly enjoyed and felt inspired (if sometimes a little scared!) by this text and have produced with some great quality writing. Writing was also a theme in our Geography lesson on Monday, when we produced a great persuasive paragraph about how wonderful the Yorkshire Dales are!
We have also celebrated Science Week in school. On Wednesday afternoon, we took part in an 'eggcelent' experiment - finding out how much weight eggs could bear. After finding out that eggs could withstand the weight of lots of books we used ourselves as weights - discovering the best way to position the eggs to take the force of children. It was a messy but very exciting afternoon!
Have a wonderful, restful Easter holiday. We look forward to lots more adventures in our final term of the school year.
