Weekly Update - 8th February 2018

08 Feb 2018

We have had a really exciting week, exploring all aspects of the curriculum. Our main curriculum focus for this week has been Science – in particular light and shadow. We have created our own lines of investigation and thought of our own questions related to shadows and then used our classroom to help us find out more about this. We have also used shadows to create some super silhouette pictures in our Art lessons. In Maths we have continued to develop our understanding of area and perimeter and in English we have written some super suspenseful stories! We all had a wonderful morning in West Tanfield this morning, taking part in some geography fieldwork – we will be following this up in our topic lessons after half term. Monday was also an exciting day for 5 of Palm Class who came 2nd in a gymnastics competition. A separate letter re. the Carlton Lodge meeting went home yesterday – it will take place on Monday 19th February at 4.00pm in the Palm classroom
