Class Weekly Update - Summer 2, Week 6 (12.7.18)

Mr Rutter - 12 Jul 2018

What a busy week! Only one more to go.

We have been writing our Neverland Adventures and will be redrafting them next week to make some final improvements. There were some fantastic ideas in our stories. These included having ‘Lost Girls’ instead of boys and Tinkerbell making the crocodile fly so that he could track down Captain Hook.

We have being doing some investigation work in Maths, looking at how many different answers we can find to a single question. One of our investigations explained that Noah could see 12 legs as his animals are going onto the ark. We thought about what animals he might have seen (for example, three animals with four legs, or six animals with two legs). We found lots of different solutions in our groups.

We really enjoyed watching Palm and Cedar perform their play on Monday afternoon and we wrote our own reviews. It was five stars all around from Oak Class – well done!

Today we have really been in the ‘festival’ spirit and enjoyed some great activities (some art, sport, drama and storytelling). We had a fabulous day and it was a lovely reward for all of the hard work that the children have done over the year. It also really helped us to get over the disappointment of last night’s football match!

You will also have received your child’s report today – please do not hesitate to contact us if there are any queries.
