Class Weekly Update - Spring 1, Week 3

We've had another very busy week. We have been planning and writing our own persuasive letters to the Prime Minister. The children were inspired by Malala, and are asking Theresa May to help to make sure that the girls in Pakistan can go to school. We have also being sharing some stories about witches and wizards by Enid Blyton.

In maths we have started to explore multiplication. The children have explored splitting numbers into equal groups and spotted some interesting patterns. Today we thought about how we can use the 'X' symbol instead of saying 'groups of' (for example, 3X2 instead of saying 3 groups of 2).

We started our magic carpet journey by finding the Oceans and Continents in our geography work. We also created some artwork inspired by some famous landmarks from around the world. They are on our wall near the cloakroom if you want to take a look!

Please check the 'Star of the Week' tab to see who our class star is this week. Please try to keep this as a surprise until it is revealed in our Celebration Assembly tomorrow afternoon.
