Home Learning 21st April 2020

Gemma Pawson - 21 Apr 2020

Good morning everyone and welcome back to the summer term! I hope that you all had a fabulous Easter and that the Easter Bunny left you some nice treats! I have loved looking at all of your adventures on our class Instagram page, I miss you all lots and it really makes me smile to see and hear about your explorations, thank you.

We have got lots of lovely things planned and we are starting with the story 'Anna Hibiscus Song' which is one of my favourite books, I love the illustrations and the kindness of the story. We are looking at patterns in our maths work this week, just as we would have been doing if we were in class together. I know that you all love making repeating patterns and that you will really enjoy this. We are going to revisit all of the digraphs and trigraphs that we have learnt so far in our phonics work. I have made some short videos that you use to help you practise and then play games with the different phonemes to help your learning stick! As a whole school we are going to explore different areas of the curriculum together, this will be fun and we can share our ideas. We are strating with history which i think you will really enjoy. I am really excitied to hear and see pictures of your learning adventures.

Most of all I want you all to be fabulous learners, listen well, be kind and helpful at home and give plenty of smiles to your families! I know that it is really strange and that we all miss our friends, but remember that we are Acorn superheros and we can do this!

I will post pictures of things during the day on our class Instagram page which I hope will help. I will be on the class email between 12pm and 1pm today to help with anything or for just a chat.

Take care everyone!
