Weekly update 11th July 2019

Mrs Pawson and Miss Oates - 11 Jul 2019

This week we have all been on caterpillar watch, we are eagerly waiting for them to emerge from their chrysalis... we have had some fabulous discussions about how this will happen and what they will look like when they do emerge. We have also been extremely careful to look with our eyes and not to jog them.
We were very excited to watch the KS2 play on Tuesday, they were amazing! We were all singing and dancing along, well done everyone.
We have been focusing on thinking about all of our learning this week, thinking about what we have learnt and how far we have come since September. WOW! We have been looking back at our very first learning journey wall (on the wall by the lunchbox trolley). Please pop and have a look, it is super to look at the pictures and to talk about the memories with the children.
We have been trying really hard to ‘think kind’ in our actions this week, we have been sharing a book ‘Kind’ which has lots of wonderful ideas to wonder about. We are being supportive friends and really helping each other, especially as we are all tired. Well done everyone.
We had a fantastic Betty Bee moment in the wildlife area on Wednesday, we made lots of popcorn on our campfire, we had to be very patient and not give up.
We are looking forward to Kirkby Festival on Monday, please see an email shortly with the full details.
We finish at 3pm on Friday 19th July. If you are attending the leavers service at 10am (bring a tissue), you can take your child home after it has ended. We do need to have spoken to you before hand to make arrangements for this, just pop and see us.
finally, in our class worship today we watched a video ‘La Luna’ which reminds us the importance of being ourselves and ‘shining brightly, like stars in the sky’. This is something we feel very strongly about at our school and we are both so proud of our stars and the brilliant light that they shine in our world. Don’t ever stop being yourselves and shining! Enjoy the last week of the summer term...!
