Weekly Update - 11th April 2019

Miss Oates and Mrs Pawson - 11 Apr 2019

Wow! What a half term we have had! We have been looking at our learning journey wall in the classroom and can’t believe how much the children have learnt and developed. Some of our exciting adventures this half term have been...
  • The wonderfully successful Fairtrade cafe
  • So much cooking and baking
  • Whittling, sawing and lighting fires
  • Drilling
  • Mud painting
  • Beach exploring
  • Writing lots and lots for all different reasons
  • Fantastic shape investigations and stories
  • World book day adventures
  • Showing off our talents on red nose day
  • Water play!
  • Learning to design and print from the iPad
  • Designing and construction
  • Super reflective class and collective worship
  • Story map creating
  • Measuring heights, weights and capacity
  • Investigating number through story
  • Feelings exploration for ourselves and other
  • Floristry
  • And so much more!
Learning through play is very busy work! Please do talk to your child about all these things over the holidays and continue to follow their learning explorations - it is great fun and the best way to learn!

We’d love to hear about the adventures you get up to over the Easter break. Please do bring in some photos to add to our ‘Oak Family Tree’.

If you have your parent login for our EExAT system then please do use it to upload some of your own photos. We will be holiding another workshop in the summer term for those who couldn’t make the first.

We we hope you have a wonderful holiday and we are already looking forward to seeing you again!

Don’t forget about the start of term service on the first day back at 9:15am
