Weekly Update - 28th June 2018

Miss Oates and Mrs Pawson - 28 Jun 2018

A very hot week this week but it made for perfect weather for a Rainbow Hunt. We explored lots of different materials to help us find a rainbow and we were very successful. We spotted rainbows in water, mirrors, bubbles, food, glass and many more places.

We showed off our fantastic chopping skills during cooking this week. We made a healthy rainbow pasta salad. The children were great at trying new things and many enjoyed what we had made. Can anyone remember all the ingredients we used?

The children have worked really hard scrubbing the woolly mammoth clean whilst trying not to get soap in his eyes! This week we have finished our unit by writing our own set of instructions, from polar bears to bunny rabbits, if you have a tricky animal to wash we can help with our instructions.

We enjoyed a whole school transition day today and it was a great success - I hope everyone is excited for September.

We are encouraging the children with their independence again this week and are keeping an eye out for children who bring their bags in and organise themselves on a morning. This is just a first step for being independent learners and so it is very important.

Keep bringing in your sunhats and sunglasses for our beautiful weather! And don’t forget our library opening next Monday at 2pm!
