Weekly Update - 17th May 2018

Miss Oates and Mrs Pawson - 16 May 2018

We are super excited and proud of all the dojo points being earned from reading at home. It has been a super start that we can now build upon and make ever greater! Some children have been reading morning and evening to earn their points - what a great idea!

We have had a new member of Oak Class this week...our very own blue tit! She has nested in our bird box and has laid six eggs. We are keeping a close eye on her and the eggs and are hoping we get to watch the birds hatch! Fingers crossed!

We have also been continuing our fruit-flavoured water and are becoming even more adventurous. The children's cutting skills and safety are improving massively too. Is anyone helping out with the cutting at home?

We've noticed lots of phonics errors slipping into our reading lately...try to remember not to add an 'uh' sound onto the end of our letter sounds. Ones we find particularly tricky are 'c' and 'p'. Try watching the video that we linked in last week's update if you are unsure of these.

We were gifted a 'naughty bus' this week and he has been getting up to mischief! We have been writing about what he has been getting up to. Can you spot his mischievous activities on a morning?

Please keep answering our question in the registration area. We use the responses to help us inform you properly.

PLEASE NOTE:
  • SCHOOL PHOTOS – THE PHOTOGRAPHER WILL BE IN SCHOOL EVERY DAY NEXT WEEK
  • NEW DATE FOR SPORTS DAY – THURSDAY 14th JUNE
