Weekly update - 2nd February

Miss Oates and Mrs Pawson - 31 Jan 2018

As I’m sure you’ve all heard, we’ve been on adventures on a magic bed this week. This was so exciting and we were all very keen to tell the class about our own beds so we decided to bring in photos of our own beds to share with the class - there’s still time to bring a picture of your bed in if you would like to share it on our gallery. If you don’t have a printer at home then please email your picture in and we’ll happily print it off at school. Some new friends have joined us this week, Barney Bear, Molly Monkey and Monty Elephant and they have loved playing hide and seek. We have been practising our prepositional language to give each other clues to where they are hiding. We’ve also been working hard on our subtraction, looking at lots of different methods to help us solve problems. We need to remember that these methods will help us with tackling ‘bigger numbers’ later on so we must master it now with ‘smaller numbers’.

Quick reminder...if you are a parent of a reception child, please keep emailing in adventures that you get up to at home for us to add to your learning journey. The email address is oakclass@kirkbymalzeard.n-yorks.sch.uk . Thank you.
